Dong Yang - Market & Restaurant in Hilltop

Dong Yang Market is one of the best places to eat Korean in the Twin Cities. They have all my favorites; banchan, mandoo, Jajangmyeon, pajeon, and most of all gimbap (only at lunch). I don't know what it is about gimbap I love so much but it is delicious. The portions are generous and I have had only one or two real misses where the food wasn't good. The patrons are mostly Korean while I have been there. It reminds me of some of the places I went while I lived in Seoul and if you love Korean food it is one of a limited number of choices in the Cities.
The market itself is full of Korean delights (including a quick make-at-home version of Jajangmyeon), I especially enjoy shrimp chips and all the varieties of candy (try the sesame ones). Korean pear juice is another tasty treat that I pick up while I'm there. The market is in an out of the way location being at the end of a strip mall in Shoreview.
