El Meson Spanish-Caribbean bistro is quietly located along Lyndale Ave. in Uptown. The dining area is filled with warm, vibrant colors and Spanish touches throughout. The wine list has been expanded since the years past. And the menu has been updated to reflect the unique sensibilities of Ruiz, an American-born chef raised in Mexico and trained in classic French technique at a Michelin three-star restaurant in Paris.
The produce is fresh and of the highest quality. Everything is made from scratch, every day. And for all the elegance and creativity of Ruiz’ French technique, it can’t hide the simple, rustic charm of the dishes.
