Continuing a Twin Cities tradition, the Nicollet Best Steak House (Nicollet Ave. at Diamond Lake Road) offers good food and plenty of it in a casual environment. The dinners here include a steak or sandwich accompanied by soup or salad, potato, and (delicious) butter grilled texas toast. Nothing fancy, but well-prepared and reasonably priced.
Specials change daily and often feature various steaks (T-bone, sirloin, rib-eye). The menu also includes gyros, chicken, fried shrimp and burgers. Orders are placed cafeteria style and kids meals are available. Parking out front makes this an easy stop for a tasty, affordable meal.
